Hair Fibers for Women: Widening Parts and Diffuse Thinning

How cosmetic fibers can reduce scalp contrast around a widening part or diffuse thinning while preserving a natural look.

Widening parts and diffuse thinning are common situations where hair fibers can be visually effective because many existing strands remain available for the fibers to settle around.

Start along the part with a very small amount, then work outward only where scalp contrast remains obvious. Keeping some natural variation helps prevent the part from looking painted over.

Shade matching is especially important when colored or highlighted hair has multiple tones. Match the root area first because that is where the fibers will sit.

Fibers can be used as cosmetic camouflage while a person is also pursuing medical evaluation or treatment. Apply any prescribed topical scalp treatment first and allow it to dry completely before using cosmetic fibers unless your clinician advises otherwise.
